Parent coaching is a form of therapy where a speech therapist works directly with parents to teach them strategies and techniques to support their child's communication. The therapist guides parents through practicing these techniques in their natural environments, offering feedback and support to help them feel confident and effective in helping their child’s communication. We know that you know your child better than ANYONE else, and research shows that empowering parents is KEY to supporting children in their early years and beyond. This is why we offer a parent-therapist approach at Bloom Together, because we know how important it is that you are a part of the therapy journey too! While we are communication experts, you are the expert on your child. Together, we can achieve the best outcomes.

More therapy does not necessarily mean more progress! At Bloom Together, we promote the value of therapy breaks. Taking a break from speech therapy can be beneficial in early intervention because it allows time to practice learned skills, gives you confidence that you are equipped to support your child, prevents therapy fatigue, and provides time to evaluate progress.
